Requirements to visit Spain
There are two essential steps prior to your trip that you need to verify:
– In all cases, you must show your health control form (HCF). The form must be completed and signed electronically before your arrival in Spain. You can access the form and sign it via the Spain Travel Health website or apps for Android or iOsiOs devices. After you sign it you will receive a QR code which must be presented upon arrival in Spain (it is only valid in digital formats. However, for justifiable reasons it may be presented in paper format before embarking). Remember that you must fill in a separate form for each trip and each person.
– If you are travelling from a high risk country or area, you must provide a negative SARS-CoV-2 test carried out within 72 hours prior to your arrival in Spain. The accepted tests are PCR (RT-PCR), TMA and other tests based on similar molecular techniques. The accredited document of the negative test results must be written in Spanish, English, French or German. In the event of not having done the PCR test, you will be liable to a fine and a test being carried out at the airport upon arrival.
These procedures are mandatory for any passenger arriving in Spain by air or sea, except for children under the age of 6.
